The Loxeal 18-10-050 thread seal with PTFE is an anaerobic adhesive for sealing metal threaded connections. It is suitable for gas, LPG, compressed air, petrol and oil, industrial fluids, CFCs, water and many chemicals. The low coefficient of friction guarantees easy installation. Thanks to its thixotropic properties, leakage of the sealant before or during curing is avoided. Replaces PTFE tapes and hemp. The cured product is shock and vibration resistant. Even after years, easy disassembly is ensured. Strength class 1, colour: white. Threaded connections 2 inches, up to max. Gap: 0.30mm Hardening hand strength: 20 to 40 minutes, curing functional strength: 1 to 3 hours. Breakaway torque: 6-11 Nm (ISO 10964), continuing torque: 2-5 Nm (ISO 10964), tensile shear strength: 4-6 N/mm² (ISO 10123), temperature operating range: -55°C to +150°C.
